brand identity + brochure design

ANDT Inspection

overview

ANDT Inspection, LLC. provides state-of-the-art nondestructive testing, inspection, engineering, and integrated service throughout the United States. They work with a diverse range of industry sectors including oil and gas, aerospace, power generation, petrochemical, automotive, rail, motorsport, general engineering, fabrication, and construction.

Each NDT technique is designed to detect and/or quantify specific damages. For example, ultrasonic testing (UT) techniques are effective to detect and track active flawscorrosion, and erosion, while acoustic emission (AE) is an effective choice for fatigueleaking, and cracking.

My role

I was brought on as an Art Director to help further and carry their branding from their existing website, into a brochure design and decals for their trucks.

Drawing inspiration from their site, I picked up visual aesthetics to create a design system, such as bold, geometric shapes, vibrant reds contrasted with black, strong sans serif typefaces and the use of slopes and angles, working them together to create an eye-catching, strong, industrial feel.

Ideation

Using my client’s collection of industry photography, I paired the photos with bold, impactful typography, vibrant colors, along with geometric shapes and angles. I concepted different brochure designs that were on brand and refreshing. The goal was to make their printed pieces consistent with the online experience, making it a cohesive user journey, but not replicating the design exactly, leaving room for delight and innovation.

I worked with Bestype in Soho, NYC to print these vibrant, eye-catching print pieces.

Branded Truck Decals

The client asked for a graphic treatment incorporating the American eagle and flag. I brainstormed solutions that incorporated the flag with a flying eagle.

The goal of design is to raise the expectation of what design can be.
